from 1894 to 1974.
It was created under the
Local Government Act 1894
from the parts of both the
Leighton Buzzard
and the
Berkhampstead
Rural
Sanitary Districts
that were in
Buckinghamshire
. In
1897
Linslade
was transferred to the newly created
Linslade Urban District
.
It was merged into the
Aylesbury Vale
district
in 1974 under the
Local Government Act 1972
.
