Daria Ramirez


Daria Ramirez is a veteran actress from the Philippines. She was launched by Crown Seven Film in 1977 in the comics-adapted story, Lord Give Me a Lover opposite George Estregan.

Personal life

Daria Ramirez is the mother of former matinee idol, singer, and actor Keempee de Leon and former teen actress Cheenee de Leon to TV host, singer, comedian, and actor Joey de Leon.

Career

She did movies in 1974 South Seas with Vic Vargas, in 1975 An Affair in Tahiti with Gloria Diaz and Rosanna Ortiz, in 1976 Stowaway with Rey Malonzo, Sgt. Dalagon with Tony Ferrer and in 1976 the critically acclaimed Nunal sa Tubig directed by National Artist Ishmael Bernal.
She appeared in films Hiram Na Mukha starring Nanette Medved and Abot Kamay Ang Pangarap starring Maricel Soriano and Dina Bonnevie, among others.
She was Gawad Urian Best Actress winner for Sinong Kapiling? Sinong Kasiping? in 1977 and she won Best Supporting Actress for her appearance in Aguila starring Fernando Poe Jr., Christopher de Leon and Elizabeth Oropesa.
She performed more than 115 movies and television shows.
