He starred in well over 60 films between the late 1950s and early 1960s to 2002. Due to his swarthy looks he was often typecast in action and sexy comedy films. In the mid-‘70s, he was an on and offcam pair with 1969 Miss Universe Gloria Diaz. They starred in Ang Pinakamagandang Hayop sa Balat ng Lupa, which started the so-called wet-and-wild look.Death
