Construction

History

• 24 December 1999: Opened for service with the opening of the segment from Taipei City Hall to Longshan Temple.
• 3 November 2010: Service of the Xinzhuang Line segment to Luzhou begins.
• 30 September 2012: The Xinzhuang Line section from Zhongxiao Xinsheng to Guting is opened for service, allowing for through service to the Zhonghe Line.
