Zack Knight
Zack Knight, formerly known by his stage name Zeekay, is a British-Pakistani singer, songwriter, music composer and producer. He is of South-Asian heritage, including Pakistani Punjabi and South-Asian African heritage. In 2017, his single "Bom Diggy" reached number one position on the BBC Asian Network's Official Asian Music Chart.
Life and career
Zack Knight was born in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. His mother is a Punjabi from Pakistan, and his father is South-Asian from Africa.He describes his music as "R&B infused style with a crossover sound", peppered with Bollywood and Middle-Eastern influences. Knight's music is influenced by Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, and Usher, as well as by his mixed ethnicity and English upbringing.
Knight has worked alongside artists such as Tinie Tempah, Ginuwine, Iyaz, Lil Twist and Stylo G, producing and composing songs and writing lyrics. Knight has charted with several singles on the UK based official Asian Download Chart published by the BBC. Knight has performed at Wembley and O2 Arena and supported Taio Cruz, Mario and Jessie J live.
