Yeraskh
Yeraskh is a village in the Ararat Province of Armenia. Yeraskh is the last Armenian village on the closed border with Azerbaijan's exclave of Nakhichevan, what used to be the main road and rail connections between Nakhichevan and Azerbaijan proper. The rail line also was the only direct connection between the former USSR and Iran.
. Because of the hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh, the border under severe blocakde and no trains are allowed to pass. This line, the only direct connection between the former USSR and Iran, is now almost out of use
