The racial makup of the city was 99.0% White, 0.6% Native American, and 0.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2%. Of the 243 households 25.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.4% were married couplesliving together, 7.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.5% had a male householder with no wife present, and 44.0% were non-families. 38.3% of households were one person and 20.1% were one person aged 65 or older. The average household size was 2.12 and the average family size was 2.80. The median age was 44.9 years. 21.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 5.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 23% were from 25 to 44; 29.5% were from 45 to 64; and 20.4% were 65 or older. The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.91.
