The Wuhan Union Hospital is a hospital in Jianghan District, Wuhan, Hubei, China.During the Wuhan epidemic, nurses rushed to the front line as human shields, overloaded work, delayed subsidies, and the leadership never contacted infected patients except for the infection department. On July 29, a nurse was suspected of having a dispute with the head nurse. The 13th floor fell. When the family asked to check the surveillance, the hospital claimed that the surveillance camera had just broken. The incident is under investigation.History
The hospital was founded by Griffith John in 1866 as Hankow Renji Hospital. In 1928, it was renamed as Hankow Union Hospital. In 1950, it was placed under the jurisdiction of Medical College of Wuhan University. In 1953, it became the First Affiliated Hospital of Wuhan Medical College. In 1985, it became the Union Hospital of Tongji Medical University. In 2000, it became the Union Hospital of Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
In 2020, the hospital became one of the designated hospital to treat patients from the COVID-19 pandemic.Architecture
