World Club Championship rugby union
World Club Championship for rugby union clubs was held in 1979 in Agen, 1986 in Toulouse and 1990.Participant teams: SU Agen, CA Banco de la Nación, Stade Toulousain, RC Farul Constanța, Fijian Barbarians, L'Aquila Rugby, Ponsonby, West Brisbane.
In the semi-final in Toulouse, the home team Stade Toulousain defeated West Brisbane 27-3. In the final Stade Toulousain defeated RC Farul Constanța 47-3, who eliminated Auckland's Ponsonby in the other semi-final.
