Wonthaggi Formation


The Wonthaggi Formation is a geological formation in Victoria, Australia whose strata date back to the Early Cretaceous. It is part of the Strzelecki Group. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation. It is equivalent to the Eumeralla Formation.

Vertebrate paleofauna

Indeterminate ankylosaur, euornithopod, and possible neoceratopsian remains are present in Victoria, Australia. Indeterminate ornithomimosaur remains, as well as possible indeterminate allosauroid and dromaeosaurid remains are present in Victoria, Australia. The formation also provided fossils of Koolasuchus cleelandi.
