Wong Tack


Wong Tack is a Malaysian politician. He represents the Bentong federal constituency in Parliament. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party, a component party of the Pakatan Harapan coalition.
He had stay in Sabah for a few years. Wong Tack is the chairperson of Himpunan Hijau, or Green Assembly a Malaysian environmentalist movement protesting against the Lynas Advanced Materials Plant, a rare earth processing plant operating in Gebeng, Kuantan, Pahang which he founded in 2011.
He came close to defeating the Malaysian Chinese Association president Liow Tiong Lai in the 2013 general election, losing by a total 379 votes. During the 2018 general election he defeated Liow for the Bentong parliamentary seat with a 2,032 majority.
