To date, no provincial or territorial legislative assembly has ever achieved gender parity between women and men. Women currently represent 33.9 per cent of all provincial and territorial legislators across Canada as a whole. As of October 2019, the Northwest Territories is the only province or territory in Canada with a female Premier.
