Band

The school's marching band has a long history. The marching band has won Colorado Bandmasters' Association State Competitions in 1991, 1992, 2008, and most recently in 2011.
It changed its name from the "Windsor High School Marching Band" to the "Pride of Windsor Marching Band" after the victory in 2008.
The band performed for President Barack Obama's inaugural parade on January 20, 2009.
The marching band has qualified for state every year in Colorado since the 1980s, never missing a single year. The band has achieved several 2nd and 3rd place finishes along with its wins, and has narrowly missed out on finals competition several times, including in 2007, 2013, 2015, and 2016.Two of these, in 2007 and 2016, were by less than a point.
The band was selected to march in the 75th Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii on December 7, 2016, where they received the first place prize in the parade competition.
The Pride of Windsor marching band has received high ratings and 1st place finishes at competitions in Colorado, Wyoming, Hawaii, Utah, and Texas, and notably won first place in its division at a USBands competition, sponsored and hosted by the DCI Drum Corp, The Cadets, in 2015.
In 2019, the Windsor High School Wind Symphony, the school's top auditioned concert band, qualified for the CBA State Concert Band Festival for the first time in Windsor history, making it one of the top 32 concert bands in the state. There it achieved an Excellent rating.
In the 2019 marching season, the band ended as a Semifinalist when CBA State was cancelled for 4A and 5A due to inclement weather, earning them the current highest regionals score of all time and the 3rd highest score in school history, behind 2011 and 2016's state performances.
Today, the band program includes the marching band, several concert bands, a color guard and winter guard program, a competitive winter percussion program, a jazz band, chamber ensembles, a jazz combo, AP and Intro to Music Theory, and in some concerts, full symphony orchestra pieces are programmed, providing students with the opportunity to play with the orchestra program.
