Westminster House
Westminster House is the official residence in Colombo for the British High Commissioner in Sri Lanka. It is situated in Cinnamon Gardens, a suburb of Colombo, and was acquired by the British Government in 1948. It is a colonial style bungalow, with large gardens and is named after the Palace of Westminster. In 2009, the British High Commission of Sri Lanka was moved to the land adjacent to the Westminster House after the land was acquired from the Meteorological Department.
