Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship is an annual second tier Gaelic Athletic Association competition between Gaelic football clubs organised by Westmeath GAA.Introduction
The Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship is the second tier of club football competition in Westmeath GAA, as the top club is promoted to the Westmeath Senior Football Championship, while the bottom club is relegated to the Westmeath Junior Football Championship. In addition to gaining promotion, the winning club will represent Westmeath in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship, with the possibility of qualifying for the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship.2017
