Water Works Park (Tampa, Florida)


Water Works Park is a park area in Tampa, Florida. It was redeveloped and opened to the public in August 2014. The park includes a section of the Tampa Riverwalk, which is extended alongside it and the Hillsborough River. The Park is Serviced by the Pirate Water Taxi which runs 10 A.M. to 8 P.M. A restaurant Ulele was built at the site and opened August 2014 in the nearby Waterworks building as part of urban redevelopment efforts and design with the purpose of integrating the Tampa Heights neighborhood with downtown Tampa. Water Works Park is located at 1710 North Highland Avenue.
The park features an open lawn, children's splash pad and playground, amphitheater and dog park. In addition, a memorial garden honoring Clara Frye was built at the park. The Ulele Spring has been restored to flow freely into the Hillsborough River.
