Wakefield is a civil parish in Carleton County, New Brunswick, Canada. For governance purposes it is divided between the local service district of Lakeville, the LSD of Somerville, and the LSD of the parish of Wakefield, which is further divided into the Taxing Authorities of Wakefield and Wakefield.History
Wakefield Parish was established in 1803 as part of York County and named for the city of Wakefield in Yorkshire County, England: Wakefield Parish included Simonds Parish until 1842, and Brighton Parish, York County, until 1830.Delineation
