Wójcice, Opole Voivodeship
Wójcice is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Otmuchów, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland, close to the Czech border. It lies approximately east of Otmuchów, west of Nysa, and south-west of the regional capital Opole.
The village has a population of 860.History
The region became German-speaking over the centuries by German Ostsiedlung, but the village of Woitz was mentioned as sill being Polish-speaking in 1495, when bishop of Breslau Johann Roth ordered the village population to learn German.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany.
