Voice – Social Democracy
Voice – Social Democracy, is a proposed social-democratic political party in Slovakia. It was registered at the Ministry of the Interior on June 29, 2020. The members of the party's preparatory committee are deputies of the National Council Peter Pellegrini, Matúš Šutaj Eštok and Peter Kmec. In order for a party to be formed, it must obtain 10,000 signatures of Slovak citizens over the age of 15 who agree with its establishment by 25 December 2020. Pellegrini, former Prime Minister and current Deputy Speaker of Parliament, is to become the party's chairman after its formation. Pellegrini founded the party with a group of MEPs after leaving the Direction – Social Democracy party. There are 11 members of parliament in favour of the party, all of whom were elected as candidates for the SMER-SD in the previous election. However, they appear to be unclassified, the parliamentary leadership did not allow them to form a parliamentary group.
