Victor Suthren
Victor Suthren is a Canadian writer and novelist with an interest in colonial and maritime history.Career
A native of Montreal, Suthren was educated at Bishop's University, McGill University and Concordia University before joining the Civil Service, rising to serve as Director General of the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa before leaving to pursue a writing career. A naval reservist, member of the Captain Cook Society, an occasional "tall ship" sailor and recipient of an Eagle feather from the Mi'kmaq Confederacy, his other recognitions include an honorary captaincy in the RCN, the Canadian Forces Decoration and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.Publications
