Vega, Alberta
Vega is an unincorporated community in central Alberta within the County of Barrhead No. 11. It is located on Highway 661 approximately north of Barrhead and northwest of Edmonton. Vega is an excellent place for families to camp and is home to many native species of shrubs and trees. It is possible to pick wild blueberries there and its sandy terrain makes it home to many insects and animals. It is possible to ride horses, all-terrain vehicles and offroad motorcycles at Vega. Nearby is the town of Vega, home to a local cafe, gas bar, playground, liquor store and rv dumping station.
