Valašské Klobouky


Valašské Klobouky is a small town in the Zlín Region, Czech Republic. It has approximately 5,000 inhabitants.

Location

The town lies in the valley of the Klobučka River on the border of the White Carpathians and the Vizovické Hills at the northern tip of the Protected Landscape Area of the White Carpathians, which was included on the list of UNESCO biosphere reserves in 1996.

In 2016, the concert of Czech black metal bands Root and Törr was canceled, after the local church has protested the event, supposedly due to the band's satanist ideology. After the city canceled the show, it had faced a major backlash, even by national media.
