Uncompahgre County, Colorado
Uncompahgre County was a county of the State of Colorado that existed for only three days. Uncompahgre County was created by a temporary renaming of Ouray County in 1883.History
On February 27, 1883, the Colorado General Assembly renamed Ouray County as Uncompahgre County. Three days later on March 2, 1883, the General Assembly changed its mind and changed the name of Uncompahgre County back to Ouray County.
