Uganda Cricket Association


Uganda Cricket Association controls and organises all tours and matches undertaken by the Uganda national cricket team. It is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Uganda. Its current headquarters is in Kampala, Uganda. Uganda Cricket Association is Uganda's representative at the International Cricket Council and is an associate member and has been a member of that body since 1998. It is also a member of the African Cricket Association.

History

In 1939, the first School Cricket Week was held between four schools in Uganda. Afterwards in 1966, They hosted their first professional tournament. The inaugural East African Championship was played and the hosts Uganda were the champions. In 1998, Uganda became an associate member of International Cricket Council.
