Tracy Britt Cool
Tracy Britt Cool is an American business executive. On September 18, 2019, Cool announced that she is leaving Berkshire Hathaway to start her own investment firm that replicates Berkshire Hathaway's business model.
Cool was born and raised on a farm in Manhattan, Kansas. She graduated from Harvard Business School in 2009. She was a member of the Zeta Xi chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. While an undergraduate at Harvard, in 2006, she co-founded Smart Woman Securities with Teresa Hsiao, which educates its members on investments.
She has been on the board of Berkshire Hathaway and Berkshire's Larson-Juhl, Johns Manville, Oriental Trading Company and Benjamin Moore subsidiaries, and in October 2014, was named CEO of Pampered Chef. She has also been on the board of H. J. Heinz.
On September 18, 2019, Cool announced her resignation of Berkshire Hathaway, her position as CEO of Pampered Chef, and her intention to step down from Kraft Heinz's board in the first quarter of 2020. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cool said that she wants to work and acquire "businesses too small for Berkshire."
Cool is a nonexecutive director of acquisition vehicle EverArc Holdings Ltd. which raised $340 million in an IPO.
