Dillard's, JCPenney, and Von Maur are the mall's anchor stores. The mall opened in 1975 and was the first large, modern, multi-level enclosed mall in Wichita. It was later confirmed that the Round 1 Entertainment Complex was slated to open in 2020. On December 28, 2018, it was announced that Sears would be closing as part of a plan to close 80 stores nationwide. The store closed in March 2019.
