The Beast with Two Backs


The Beast with Two Backs is the seventh full-length studio album by British goth rock band Inkubus Sukkubus. It contains 12 original tracks and a cover of 'Can't Get You Out of My Head' by Kylie Minogue with altered lyrics that more appropriately reflect the band's aesthetics. The cover was designed by Tony McKormack, a core member of the band.
The album's title refers to a metaphor for sexual intercourse: 'To make the beast with two backs'. While the first recorded English usage of the term was in 1603, by Shakespeare in Othello, the French version of the phrase, :fr:Idiotisme animalier|la bête à deux dos, dates back to at least 1532, in François Rabelais' Gargantua and Pantagruel:
