The Ex-PM


The Ex-PM is an Australian television comedy series that first aired on ABC on Wednesday 14 October 2015. The six-part series is written by and stars Shaun Micallef with director Sian Davies and producer Nick Murray for Cordell Jigsaw Zapruder.
Season two of the show premiered on 26 October 2017.

Synopsis

Series 1

Andrew Dugdale, Australia’s third longest-serving Prime Minister, was a man who dined with presidents and kings, co-hosted world summits and changed the lives of millions of his fellow Australians. But since losing his grip on power, he now has far too much time on his hands and no one to waste it on.
After blowing the advance for his memoirs but writing nothing in return, Dugdale has to accept a ghostwriter, Ellen, into his dysfunctional household.

Series 2

Andrew Dugdale stands for election in a marginal rural seat at his party's request. Moving into the towns sewage farm, he campaigns on local issues in a race beset by corruption. A mysterious benefactor donates one million dollars to his campaign.
