metre. The name Templet
stems
from its resemblance to a
ruined
Gothic cathedral
,
consisting of
eroded
horizontal
layers
of shales,
silicates
and
limestones
.
The mountain lies within the
Sassen – Bünsow Land National Park
, and is regarded as a
tourist attraction
.
