Tell Hamis
Tell Hamis is a town in northeastern Hasakah Governorate, northeastern Syria. Wadi Jarrah flows through the town. It is the administrative center of Nahiya Tell Hamis consisting of 129 localities.
At the 2004 census, Tell Hamis had a population of 5,161. The inhabitants of the town are predominantly Arabs.After falling to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, it was retaken by Kurdish YPG forces and the Syriac Military Council on February 27, 2015.
As a consequence of the 2019 Turkish offensive into north-eastern Syria, SDF invited the Syrian Arab Army into the areas under its rule. The Syrian flag was raised in the center of the town.
