.
The Tchula period encompasses the
Tchefuncte
and
Lake Cormorant
cultures during the
Woodland period
around the
coastal plains
of
Louisiana
and
northward
into southern
Arkansas
and
east
into the
Yazoo
Basin
in
Mississippi
.
