Tane Province was an old province of Japan in the area of Kagoshima Prefecture, roughly corresponding to Kumage Subprefecture.History

Annals of the Nara period regard Tane-no-kuni as the name for all the Ryukyu Islands, including Tanegashima and Yakushima.
