Transportation characteristics at this station

• This station is the base station for the upbound Hitachi and Mito areas, and there are many regular and limited express trains departing from the station-Mito area. However, no trains are set for the first train bound for Iwaki.
• Upbound （ for Hitachi, Katsuta & Mito ）
• * During the day, there are two regular trains （bound for Mito）departing and leaving Iwaki and the first train leaving the station approximately every hour. In the morning, depart from the station for Ueno, and in the evening, travel to Tsuchiura, Mito Line direct Oyama and south of Mito。
• Going down （ Isohara, Iwaki, Tomioka & Haranomachi ）
• *During the day, ordinary trains north of this station run about 1 hour per hour.
• Limited express train
• * During the day, one express train "Hitachi" and a stop train "Tokiwa"stop every two hours. When the limited express train does not stop, regular trains can be used to transfer at Hitachi Station, which is 3 stops away, or at Katsuta Station, which is 8 stops away （ the limited express train departing from the station ）.
