Tuneshige
was a
bushi
acting
around the
Kantō region
in the
latter
period of the
Heian period
. He is a
descendant
of
Emperor Kanmu
and of
Taira Tadatsune
. His
father
is
Taira Tsunekane
and His
mother
is a
daughter
of
Torinoumi Saburō-Tadahira
.
In
Chiba Taikei-zu
, it is written that he succeeded to his
younger brother
,
Tsuneharu Taira
, and went to the
region
known the
Chiba
city
today
in
1126
. He built his
headquarters
at
Inohana
and
laid
the
foundation
for
the government
by the
Chiba clan
around the region.
