TOG superfamily
The transporter-opsin-G protein-coupled receptor superfamily is a protein superfamily of integral membrane proteins, usually of 7 or 8 transmembrane alpha-helical segments. It includes ion-translocating microbial rhodopsins and G protein-coupled receptors, Sweet sugar transporters, nicotinamide ribonucleoside uptake permeases, 4-toluene sulfonate uptake permeases, Ni2+–Co2+ transporters, organic solute transporters, phosphate:Na+ symporters and lysosomal cystine transporters.Families
