Suzu Hirose


Suzu Hirose is a Japanese actress and model. Her films included Our Little Sister, Gakkō no Kaidan and Chihayafuru. She starred in Natsuzora, the 100th NHK asadora. She was named as a Newcomer of the Year at the 39th Japan Academy Prize ceremony, the 37th Yokohama Film Festival and the 41st Elan d'or Awards. She won the Best Supporting Actress prize at the 41st Japan Academy Prize.

Her sister, Alice, is an actress and model.

Career

Hirose won the Japan Academy Prize for "Newcomer of the Year" and the "Best New Actress" award at Kinema Junpo. She and Hirokazu Kore-eda worked on films, Our Little Sister and The Third Murder. Hirose played Chihaya Ayase in the live action competitive karuta film adaptation trilogy Chihayafuru, based on Yuki Suetsugu's manga series.
