Supreme Council (Armenia)
The Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR was the supreme soviet of the Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic, and the independent Republic of Armenia, from 23 August 1990 until 1995 when it was superseded by the National Assembly, with the adoption of the Armenian Constitution.
The Supreme Council was preceded by the Armenian National Council and then a Khorhurd, before Armenia became part of the Soviet Union in 1920.Convocations
