Supply-Chain Council
Supply-Chain Council is an independent non-profit organization. As the cross-industry standard for supply chain management, SCC has developed and endorsed the Supply-Chain Operations Reference -model, a process reference model for supply chain management.
The SCC was organized in 1996 by Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath and AMR Research, and initially included 69 voluntary member companies. SCC now has closer to 1,000 corporate members worldwide and has established international chapters in North America, Europe, Greater China, Japan, Australia/New Zealand, South East Asia, Brazil and Southern Africa. Development of additional chapters in India and South America are underway. SCC membership consists primarily practitioners representing a broad cross section of industries, including manufacturers, services, distributors, and retailers.
In April 2014, it was announced that the Supply-Chain Council would merge with APICS.
This merger was completed on 5 August 2014.
