Passerellidae
. It is found in
Argentina
,
western
Paraguay
and
southeastern
Bolivia
. Its
natural
habitats
are
subtropical
or
tropical dry forests
and
subtropical or tropical dry shrubland
.
The
South American Classification Committee
of the
American Ornithological Society
has
split
this species into two:
yungas
sparrow and
chaco
sparrow.
