Steven D. Wolens
Steven Dennis Wolens is a former state representative for District 103 in Dallas County, Texas, who served from 1981 to 2005. Described by Texas Monthly magazine as the "House's most dreaded foe and most welcome ally," he was best known for his backing for state Senate Bill 7, which deregulated Texas energy markets.
Wolens is married to former Dallas Mayor Laura Miller. He was a partner at the Dallas law firms of Baron & Budd and Diamond & McCarthy. In 2008, he moved to the Dallas firm McKool Smith. He is Jewish.
