Steve Davies made his début for Wigan as an interchange/Substitute in the 40-5 victory over Keighley at Central Park, Wigan on 19 April 1975, he scored his first try for Wigan in the 19-18 victory over Widnes at Central Park, Wigan on 12 September 1976, he scored his last try for Wigan in the 30-2 victory over Doncaster in the John Player Trophy Round-1 match at Tattersfield, Doncaster on 24 September 1978, and he played his last match for Wigan in the 9-17 defeat by Salford in the John Player Trophy Round-1 match at The Willows, Salford on 23 November 1980.
