Stefan Berger (politician)


Stefan Berger is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union who has been serving as a Member of the European Parliament since 2019.

Political career

From 2000 until 2019, Berger was a member of the Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia. During his time in parliament, he serves as his group's spokesperson on science policy.
On the national level, Berger was a CDU delegate to the Federal Convention for the purpose of electing the President of Germany in 2010.
Berger has been a Member of the European Parliament since the 2019 European elections. He has since been serving on the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs. In addition to his committee assignments, he is part of the Parliament's delegation for relations with Japan.
