Shrimp curry
Shrimp curry is a typical curry dish of Indonesian cuisine in Indonesia, Indo-Portuguese cuisine in India and Portugal, Mozambican cuisine in Mozambique and Thai cuisine in Thailand.
As the name suggests, this is a dish prepared with shrimp, with a thick sauce of a yellow hue. Among other ingredients are grated coconut, turmeric, cumin, coriander, chilli, onion, garlic, tamarind, vinegar, sugar and salt.
It is usually accompanied by white rice.
In Indonesia, this dish known and quite popular in Sumatra of Acehnese, Minangkabau and Malay cuisine.
In Portugal, you can find the dish on the menus of Goan and Mozambican restaurants.
