Short-crested monarch


The short-crested monarch is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae.
It is endemic to the Philippines.

Alternate names for the short-crested monarch include the paradise flycatcher monarch and short-crested blue-monarch.

Subspecies

Three subspecies are recognized:
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
It is threatened by habitat loss.
