Shafqat Saeed was an honorable officer of the Pakistan Army, having reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.Shafqat Saeed frequently appeared on Newshour Debate and The Debate With Arnab Goswami on Republic TV. As a panelist speaking for the Pakistani side, Saeed often debated with Indian panelists G.D Bakshi, Guarav Arya, and Parthasarthy over issues of Terrorism in Pakistan, Baloch Insurgency, and the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks.Death
On August 28, 2017, Colonel Shafqat Saeed died of natural causes in Rawalpindi.
