Scott Andrews (musician)


Scott Andrews is an American classical clarinetist, currently with the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra.

Career

Since 2005, he has been the principal clarinetist of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that, he had been the second clarinetist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
He was a faculty member of the Tanglewood Music Center from 1998 to 2006, and was also on faculty at The Boston Conservatory, where he chaired the Woodwind Department from 2003 to 2005.
Originally from Virginia, he received his musical education at New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts where he was a student of Harold Wright. He is also the Director of the Missouri Chamber Music Festival.

Personal

He resides in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife, pianist Nina Ferrigno, and their two children, Ava and Zachary
