Sayler Park, Cincinnati
Sayler Park is a neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio. The west side neighborhood on the Ohio River is approximately and wide. The population was 2,765 at the 2010 census.
The Fernbank Park in Sayler Park stretches over a mile along the Ohio River. The Thornton Triangle is Cincinnati's smallest municipal park.History
Sayler Park was originally known as Home City. The ice manufacturer Home City Ice is named after the neighborhood. Sayler Park was annexed by the City of Cincinnati in 1911. The neighborhood is known for its F5 tornado in 1974 during the Super Outbreak which killed three and demolished many homes.
Sayler Park is the first town to include "Smoots," an unofficial standard of measurement first introduced by students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to measure the height of incoming residents.
