Sardar Muhammad Khan Laghari


Sardar Muhammad Khan Laghari is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since August 2018.

Early life and education

He was born on 4 June 1977 in Lahore.
He received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Finance from Lahore School of Economics in 2001.

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as an independent candidate from Constituency PP-243 in 2002 Pakistani general election. He received 20,316 votes and defeated the seat to Jaffar Khan Leghari. In the same election, he also ran for the seat of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as an independent candidate from Constituency PP-245 but was unsuccessful. He received 17,223 votes and lost the seat to Farooq Leghari. Following his successful election, he joined Pakistan Muslim League .
He was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan from Constituency NA-192 as a candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in 2018 Pakistani general election. In the same election, he was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of PTI from Constituency PP-292. Following his successful election, he abandoned his Punjab assembly seat in favor of his National Assembly seat.
