Sancho Martin


Sancho Martin is an actor who resides in Los Angeles, California. Sancho has worked with renowned film directors, producers and writers such as Peter Berg and Tom Hooper.
In 2015 Peter Berg cast Sancho in the Discover Card national commercial campaign entitled “Freeze It” which has aired during the 73rd Golden Globe Awards, 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, 74th Golden Globe Awards and 59th Annual Grammy Awards and it’s set to be airing until August 2018.
Sancho Martin has a huge passion for Motion-capture acting and movement. He has starred as a motion capture actor-suit performer in the Food and Drug Administration’s The Real Cost anti-smoking national commercial campaign entitled "The 7000 Chemicals" where he worked with the A-list American actor Doug Jones and American special effects studio Legacy Effects. He has also performed as a motion capture actor for VICON House of Moves.

Early life

Sancho's mother has Spanish, Native American and Central European ancestry and his father is Slovakian descent. His mother is a former gymnast-dancer and his father is a holistic-nutritionist and a national champion in powerlifting. Sancho was greatly influenced by his father's and mother's athleticism and optimum lifestyle. Since his early childhood he knew he wanted to become an actor, role model and to motivate and positively inspire others to live balanced life.
In 2007, Sancho graduated from the Associated Secondary School of Hotel Services and Commerce with a major in Hotel Services and Culinary Arts. He completed four semesters at the Faculty of Science with a major in Mass Media Communication. While studying at the University, Sancho decided to study holistic nutrition following his father's footsteps. He is still passionately encouraging people to yoga-meditation, healthy eating and life choices in order to flourish holistically and live wholly.

Career

Sancho Martin’s professional career started in 1999, and almost instantly he began to win countless awards in the areas of movement and contortionist. Recognized for his outstanding and unique movement skills and achievements, Sancho participated as a judge at the international talent competition, “The Big Bang” in Brugge, Belgium. In 2010 Sancho won 1st place at the Talent Awards, the Biggest European Talent Competition, which took place in Prague, Czech Republic.
His career began to expand after landing a prominent role on Comedy Central's, “The Gong Show with Dave Attell" as a contestant, where he won the ultimate prize.
Much of his work came from enviable national commercial campaign entitled ‘Prehistoric' produced and directed by MTV’s Punk’d executive producer Billy Rainey, 2014 Super Bowl’s Time Warner entitled “Grandma’s” hosted by American rapper and record producer Sean John Combs known as P. Diddy and Major League Baseball Brian Wilson’s entitled “In The Beard” directed by Chris Nelson.
Sancho’s career continued to expand with a wealth of television programming, film and national commercials. His exotic appeal coupled with his unique skills, have caught the eye of casting directors and others within the entertainment industry. Sancho Martin has also been featured in music videos for Chris Brown 2011 BET Awards Winner single "Look at Me Now", Mick Jagger Super Heavy single, “Miracle Worker” directed by Scottish music video director Paul Boyd.
Sancho Martin has also performed as movement character actor at “One Drop Foundation” Red Carpet events for the world-renowned entertainment group, Cirque du Soleil.
