Sakib Mahmuljin
Sakib Mahmuljin is a former Bosnian Army brigadier general and deputy minister of defense in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a senior official of the Party of Democratic Action. He was born in Kozarac. During the Bosnian War he was a top Bosnian Muslim general. Mahmuljin tried to put mujahideens under control of ARBiH. He became the commander of the 3rd Corps in September 1994. His two brothers Omer and Nagib were killed at the Omarska camp. Dževad Galijašević, the mayor of Maglaj municipality in 2000, ordered for the removal of the mujahideen occupying Serb homes in Bočinja, but the order was never carried out. After the war he became the Deputy-minister of Defense. On 7 October 1999 he travelled with the Bosnian defense delegation to Pakistan to discuss further strengthening of relations.
Mahmuljin was suspect for war crimes in the period of July–October 1995 in the area of Vozuća. Some fifty Bosnian Serb POWs were killed. Arrested on the charges on 8 December 2015, he was released the next day. On 4 February 2016, in court, he stated that he was not guilty.
